What do umpires do?

In Hawaii, umpires are professionals that serve as impartial negotiators between two claim appraisers that disagree. Hawaii umpires are often private claim appraisers, insurance attorneys, or

For instance, if you live in Hawaii and feel like an insurance settlement is inaccurate, you might hire your own insurance appraiser. While the Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs rules insurance carriers, umpires are not typically licensed in any state. For example, if the umpire is also a public insurance adjuster, then he has met Hawaii's licensing requirements for insurance agents and public insurance adjusters for his profession. Likewise, insurance attorneys must keep up their lawyer's licenses.
