What do insurance umpires in Washington state do? In Washington, umpires are pros that serve as unbiased umpires between two insurance appraisers that are deadlocked. Washington umpires are often private insurance estimators, insurance attorneys, or public insurance adjusters that have the insurance valuations knowledge required to appraise the disagreed upon claim.

In addition, insurance attorneys must uphold their attorney's licenses.
